Team
Invite people to your workspace, give each team member the admin or user role, and remove members who no longer need access.
Your team is everyone with access to your workspace. Each team member has a role, admin or user, that decides what they can do. There's no limit to the number of team members you can have in a workspace.
Navigate to Settings → Team to manage your team.
How the team works
- The team list: Settings → Team lists every team member with their name, email, and role, Admin or User. Someone you've invited shows Invite pending until they join.
- Roles: Admins manage the team and a few settings for the whole workspace. Users can do everything else. See Roles.
- At least one admin: A workspace always keeps at least one admin. Cevoid doesn't let you remove the only admin or change their role to user.
- One team per workspace: If you belong to several workspaces, each has its own team, and you can have a different role in each. See Several workspaces.
- SSO: In a workspace that uses single sign-on, your company's identity provider manages the team. See The Team page in an SSO workspace.
Invite people
Only admins can invite people.
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click Invite people
- Enter one or more email addresses in Emails, separated by commas
- Select a role in Invite as. User is selected by default.
- Click Send invites. The people you invited show Invite pending in the team list.
Cevoid emails each person a link to join your workspace. The invitation is valid for 31 days.
The link opens Join (workspace) on Cevoid. The person clicks Continue with email, enters their Full name, and clicks Join workspace. Someone who already uses Cevoid keeps their login, and your workspace joins the others in their workspace menu. If your workspace enforces MFA, they set it up before they enter: see Enforce MFA for your team. A link that has expired or been canceled opens Unable to accept invitation.
Resend or cancel an invitation
Only admins can resend or cancel an invitation. An invitation shows Invite pending in the team list until the person joins.
Resend an invitation
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click ... in the invitation's row
- Click Resend Invitation. Cevoid emails the invitation again, and Invitation resent to (email) shows.
Cancel an invitation
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click ... in the invitation's row
- Click Cancel invitation
- Click Cancel invitation to confirm. The invitation link stops working, and the row leaves the team list.
To invite the person later, invite them again.
Change a team member's role
Only admins can change roles. The workspace's only admin can't be changed to User.
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click ... in the team member's row
- Click Edit user settings
- Select Admin or User in Permissions
- Click Save changes. User settings updated shows.
User settings also holds the team member's Full name and Profile image. Admins can edit them for anyone. Every team member can edit their own, with Edit user settings in their own row or on Settings → Account.
Remove a team member
Only admins can remove team members.
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click ... in the team member's row
- Click Remove user
- Click Remove user to confirm. The team member loses access to this workspace, and Team member deleted shows.
Their access to other workspaces doesn't change. To give them access again, invite them.
Leave a workspace
To leave a workspace, remove yourself from its team. In your own row, Leave workspace takes the place of Remove user.
- Navigate to Settings → Team
- Click ... in your own row
- Click Leave workspace
- Click Leave workspace to confirm. You lose access to the workspace, and Cevoid logs you out.
The workspace's only admin can't leave it until another team member is an admin.
Roles
Each team member has one of two roles: Admin or User. You select it when you invite them, and admins can change it later. Both roles work in every module, and roles don't limit which data a team member sees. The table shows what each role can do.

The Team page in an SSO workspace
In a workspace that uses single sign-on (SSO), your company's identity provider manages who has access. Settings → Team then shows Access managed through SSO instead of the team list, with no controls to invite people, remove them, or change roles. It asks you to contact your IT administrator to add or remove access, and names the identity provider you logged in with.
- Joining: People join as users the first time they log in with SSO
- Roles: To change a team member's role, contact Cevoid support
- Your own settings: You edit your own name and profile image on Settings → Account, which has no Permissions field
How to log in with SSO, and what else changes in an SSO workspace, is in Single sign-on (SSO).
