Review labels

Create review labels to organize your product and company reviews, filter your review lists, and choose what a widget shows.

Review labels are your team's own tags for reviews. Use them to organize product reviews and company reviews beyond Cevoid's own statuses and filters, and to choose which reviews a widget shows.

Navigate to Settings → Labels and click the Reviews tab to manage your review labels. The same page holds post labels and profile labels.

What you can use review labels for

One label type covers both product reviews and company reviews. Shoppers never see your labels. When you convert a review between product and company review, its labels stay with the original: see Review details.

Create a review label

From the Labels page:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Labels
  2. Click the Reviews tab
  3. Click New label. Type is already set to Review.
  4. Enter a name in Name
  5. Optional: Select a color or an emoji with the icon next to the name
  6. Click Create. The label appears in the labels table.

From a review:

  1. Navigate to Reviews → Product reviews or Reviews → Company reviews and open a review
  2. Click Add label under Labels in the sidebar
  3. Enter the name of your new review label
  4. Click New label: (the name you entered). Cevoid creates the label and adds it to the review.

In the labels table, the Reviews column shows how many reviews have each label.

Add labels to reviews

One review:

  1. Navigate to Reviews → Product reviews or Reviews → Company reviews and open the review
  2. Click Add label under Labels in the sidebar
  3. Select one or more labels. Type to search for one.

To remove a label, clear it in the same list. Clear all removes every label from the review.

Several reviews:

  1. Navigate to Reviews → Product reviews or Reviews → Company reviews
  2. Select the checkbox on each review you want to label
  3. Click Actions
  4. Select Change or add labels...
  5. Select a label. Cevoid adds it to every selected review, or removes it from all of them when they all have it already.

In the same list, Remove all labels removes every label from the selected reviews, and typing a new name offers to create it. Create label... in Actions creates a label and adds it to every selected review. Every label change shows in each review's Activity.

Filter reviews by label

The Labels filter shows only the reviews that have the labels you select. It works with the list's tabs, search, and other filters.

  1. Navigate to Reviews → Product reviews or Reviews → Company reviews
  2. Click Filter
  3. Select Labels
  4. Select one or more labels

For every other filter, see Filter reviews.

Show labeled reviews in a widget

A curated review widget, which isn't tied to the page it's on, can show only the reviews with a label. Use this to pick reviews by hand, such as a homepage carousel of reviews your team chose.

  1. Navigate to Reviews → On-site widgets and open the widget
  2. Click Content
  3. Select Filtered selection under Which reviews
  4. Click Filter
  5. Select Labels
  6. Select one or more labels. The count below shows how many reviews match.
  7. Click Save changes

The widget shows the published reviews that have the labels. Its star rating and AI summary describe only those reviews, not all your reviews. See Review widgets.

Delete a review label

Delete a review label when your team no longer uses it.

  1. Navigate to Settings → Labels
  2. Click the Reviews tab
  3. Click ... on the label's row
  4. Select Delete
  5. Click Delete to confirm
Warning:

Deleting a review label removes it from every review that has it.

Each review that had the label shows its removal in Activity, and older entries still show the label as it looked. To change a label's name, color, or emoji instead, select Edit in the same menu, make your changes, and click Update.
