Products and markets
Connect your product catalog and localize widgets for each market.
Markets connect Cevoid to your ecommerce store and ensure your widgets display the right language, currency, and product information for each version of your website. Markets apply to UGC widgets, review widgets, and your loyalty program.
Navigate to Settings → Products and markets to configure your markets.
How markets work
A market in Cevoid represents a localized version of your store: a unique combination of domain, language, and currency. If you sell to customers in different countries or regions, each localized storefront is a separate market.
For example, if you have:
cevoidsupply.com(English, USD)cevoidsupply.com/fr(French, EUR)cevoidsupply.de(German, EUR)
Each of these is a separate market in Cevoid.
Once your markets are set up, all Cevoid widgets automatically display the correct language, prices, and product links based on which market they're shown in. The experience matches the rest of your website.
How localization works
When a visitor views a Cevoid widget, Cevoid detects which market they're on based on the URL. For stores without market-specific URLs, galleries and cards can take their market from their embed code, and on a Shopify store, galleries, cards, and program widgets also use the visitor's Shopify country. Review widgets go by the URL only. The widget then displays:
UGC widgets:
- All customer-facing copy displayed in the market's language
- Captions translated into the market's language
- Product names from that market's product catalog
- Prices in the correct currency with proper formatting
- Product links pointing to the correct localized product pages
- Accessibility text (alt text, video captions, video descriptions)
- Measurement profile properties displayed in the correct unit (metric or imperial)
- Posts collected in any market or connected store, so a post shows in all your markets
Loyalty program widgets:
- All customer-facing copy displayed in the market's language
- Purchase incentive rates and tier spend thresholds converted to the market's currency
- Discount amounts of rewards shown in the market's currency. See Available rewards for the currency Cevoid creates codes in.
Review widgets:
- All customer-facing copy displayed in the market's language
- Reviews, public replies, and AI summaries translated into the market's language. On a translated review, Show original shows it as written.
- Dates and numbers in the format of the market's language
- Product names and links pointing to the correct localized product pages
- Accessibility text for review photos and videos (alt text, video captions, video descriptions)
- Reviews from every market, so a product's reviews show in all your markets
If a visitor is on a URL that doesn't match any market, the default market is used as a fallback.
Galleries and cards take their market from the embed code's data-market attribute when it has one: the market ID that Copy market ID copies, which is the market's Custom ID when it has one. Otherwise they match the page URL against your market domains and staging domains. On a Shopify store, galleries and cards also send the visitor's Shopify country: among the markets that match the page URL, they use the market for that country. Their copy shows in the language the visitor views your Shopify store in when it's one of your languages in Translations, and in the market's language otherwise. Changes to a market reach UGC widgets within five minutes.
Create a market
When you connect your store, Cevoid creates your first market from it. On platforms that use product feeds, you create your first market yourself. Create additional markets for each localized version of your website.
- Navigate to Settings → Products and markets
- Click New market. On Shopify, select Add market to followed by the store's name.
- Set the market's details and currency options. See Market settings.
- Click Create market. The new market's page opens.
On Shopify, if the store uses Shopify Markets, Add market to opens Add shopify markets instead: see Add markets from Shopify Markets. On WooCommerce, each market is a WooCommerce store: New market opens Connect Cevoid to Woocommerce, where you connect another store. See Connect WooCommerce.
On platforms that use product feeds, add the market's feeds after you create it: see Add a product feed. A new market syncs its products once you start its first sync: see Sync a new market.
For platform-specific setup instructions, see Shopify integration, WooCommerce integration, or Product feeds for other platforms.
Edit a market
- Navigate to Settings → Products and markets
- Click ... on the market's row
- Select Edit
- Set the settings you want to change. See Market settings.
- Click Save changes
You can't save changes to a market while its products sync. For a market from Shopify Markets, its country, language, and currency come from Shopify: change them in Shopify, then click ... on the market's row and select Refresh market settings.
The ... menu on a market's row also holds Manage translations, which opens the market's language in Translations, Copy market ID, and Delete, which removes the market once you confirm with Remove.
Market settings
Market details
Market details tell Cevoid how to identify and configure the market.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Domain | The URL for this market (e.g., cevoidsupply.com or cevoidsupply.com/fr) |

Default market
Your default market is the fallback when no other market matches, and the market used when tagging products in posts. Once you have more than one market, change it in Default market, under Settings on Settings → Products and markets, and confirm with Change default market. Changing default market shows while Cevoid makes the change, and products may be missing from search for a few minutes until it's done.
Currency options
Currency options control how prices and currency symbols appear. Cevoid sets them for your selected currency automatically, and you can change them. With Hide prices on, the other currency options are hidden.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Hide prices | Hide product prices in all UGC widgets |
| Currency display | Format of the currency (e.g., "USD" or "$") |

|---|---|---|
| Non-available products | How to handle products that don't exist in this market | Show as normal: Link to default market's product page. Show as unavailable: Display "Not available in your region" in UGC widgets, with no link. Hide (default): Don't show the product tag |
| Products out of stock behavior | How to handle products marked out of stock | Show product as normal (default): Display without indication. Hide product: Don't show the product tag. Show out-of-stock text: Display "Out of stock" label |

| Staging domain | Add a staging URL to test and preview this market before going live | Text field |
Product catalog sync
Cevoid syncs each market's product catalog from its store or product feeds about once a day, so new products and changes to existing ones reach your product tags, widgets, and product reviews. The synced products show in Products.
Each market's row shows its sync status next to its domain. Hover over a status to see what it means.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Synced | The market syncs automatically | None |
| Not synced | The market waits for its first sync | Start its first sync: see Sync a new market |
| Setup incomplete | The market has no store or product feed to sync from | Connect a store, or add a product feed on platforms that use feeds |
| Sync issues | One or more of the market's product feeds failed to sync | Hover over Issues with feeds on the market's row to see each feed's error |
| Not syncing | The market's Shopify store is disconnected, so product updates are paused | Click Reconnect store on the store's card |
Sync a new market
A new market doesn't sync on its own. It waits under Markets ready to sync until you start its first sync, and after that it syncs automatically. Your default market syncs first: other markets can sync once it has.
- Navigate to Settings → Products and markets
- Click Review markets under Markets ready to sync. The markets ready for their first sync are listed.
- Click Sync products. The listed markets start their first sync.
To finish a market's settings before it syncs, click Keep setting up instead.
Sync products manually
Sync a market's products before its next automatic sync, for example after you change products in your store or feed.
On Shopify:
- Navigate to Settings → Products and markets
- Click Sync products on the store's card. Syncing products shows while the sync runs.
On other platforms:
- Navigate to Settings → Products and markets
- Click ... on the market's row
- Select Sync products. Syncing products shows in the market's details while the sync runs.
Product syncs typically complete within a few minutes. Large catalogs may take longer.
