Purchase settings control how orders are tracked and what counts toward purchase incentives and tier milestones. Configure which orders to track, what parts of an order to include, and when orders should be processed. Navigate to Settings -> Rewards program -> Purchases to manage these settings.

Purchase tracking

Choose which orders Cevoid tracks from your store.
OptionDescription
Save all ordersAll paid orders are saved and a profile is created for each customer. This is the default.
Only save orders from membersOnly paid orders from customers who are already program members are saved.
Don’t save any ordersNo orders are saved. This prevents members from being rewarded for purchases.

Order value calculation

The What parts of an order should be included? setting controls which parts of the order value count toward points and tier milestones.

SubtotalAlways included. The product prices after any discounts have been applied.
Exclude amount from discount couponsAdd back discount coupon amounts to the value that should be rewarded.
Include shippingAdd shipping costs to the value that should be rewarded.
Include taxesAdd tax amounts to the value that should be rewarded.
All options except Subtotal are off by default.
Orders in other currencies are automatically converted to your workspace currency using the exchange rate at the time of purchase.
The example in the settings page shows how your current configuration affects a sample order.

Order processing timing

The When should orders be processed? setting determines when Cevoid processes orders for points and tier progress.
OptionDescription
When the order is paid in fullOrders are processed as soon as they are marked as fully paid in your store.
When the order is fulfilledOrders are processed when marked as fulfilled in your store.

Delay order processing

Add a delay between when the order meets the processing condition and when it’s actually processed. Enter the number of days to wait. Cevoid handles deduction of points and potential tier downgrades automatically when returns happen (see Returns below). This setting can be used to add an extra layer of fraud prevention by not rewarding orders until after your return window has closed.
Set this to match your return window. For example, if you offer 30-day returns, set a 30-day delay so orders are only rewarded after the return window closes.

Returns

When an order is partially or fully refunded, Cevoid automatically:
  • Deducts the corresponding points from the member’s balance
  • Adjusts their tier milestone progress
  • Handles any tier downgrades if they no longer qualify

Full returns

The entire order value is deducted. Points earned from the order are removed and tier progress is reduced by the full amount.

Partial returns

Only the refunded amount is deducted. If a member returns one item from a multi-item order, only that item’s value is removed from their points and tier progress.
