All consumer-facing solutions can be localized automatically using Markets. The translation part of the localization is managed from Settings -> Translations . Languages are automatically added to this page when a new market is created with a language.

Default copy

The platform-provided copy is automatically translated from the start, while the copy you and your team write needs to be translated on the translation page.

Editing the default copy

The default copy is not edited on the translations page; instead, you will edit this copy on the respective solution’s page.

Workspace primary language

The primary language will be used if no additional markets are created, and in cases where the widgets detect no market information. The default copy will be translated from the primary language. You can change your workspace’s primary language by:
  1. Navigate to Settings -> General
  2. Select the new language under Primary language
  3. Click Save Changes

All translations are edited in Settings -> Translations
  • Use the search bar to find a specific text you want to translate
  • Use the dropdown in the right corner to filter for texts that need translations
  • Use the drop-down in the upper left corner to filter for specific solutions

Auto-translations with cAI

cAI can assist with all translations to minimize your team’s workload. It can be used to translate all texts for a specific language and/or to translate specific texts.
cAI for translations is activated by default for all workspaces

Translate everything with cAI

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Translations
  2. Select the language you want to edit
  3. Click Translate all
  4. Click Save

Translate a specific text with cAI

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Translations
  2. Select the language you want to edit
  3. Hover on the text you want to edit
  4. Click the icon
  5. Click Save

Language-specific tone of Voice for cAI

You can give a language-specific tone of voice to cAI to ensure that auto-translations are aligned with your internal guidelines.
Remember to click **Translate all **after adding a new tone of voice to ensure that the existing copy is aligned with the latest guidelines.
  1. Navigate to Settings -> Translations
  2. Click on one of the languages
  3. In the left side bar, click the icon
  4. Click Language settings
  5. Enter your tone of voice guidelines for cAI
  6. Click Save

Manually translate a specific text

Dynamic values, such as "" and "", are used to ensure correct presentation and minimize the amount of text that needs to be translated. Remember to keep these values in any custom translations.
All translations can be adjusted manually. To do so,
  1. Navigate to Settings -> Translations
  2. Select the language you want to edit
  3. Locate the text(s) you want to edit
  4. Enter your adjusted translation in the custom column
  5. Click Save
