# Product and company reviews

> Find, filter, and work through your product reviews and company reviews, one at a time or in bulk.

Cevoid keeps product reviews and company reviews in two separate lists. A product review is about one product. A company review is about your brand and the shopping experience. Both lists work the same way, so your team searches, filters, and moderates them with the same tools.

Navigate to [Reviews → Product reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/product-reviews) or [Reviews → Company reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/company-reviews) to manage your reviews.

## How the review lists work

The product reviews list and the company reviews list share their tabs, search, filters, and bulk actions. A few actions are about a product, so only product reviews have them.

- **Confirmed reviewers only:** A review written on your store appears once its reviewer has entered the email code Cevoid sends them. Reviews from a review request or a Shopify customer account don't need the code.
- **After the first check:** A new review appears once Cevoid has analyzed it and decided whether to publish it or hold it for your team. See [Moderation](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/manage/moderation.md).
- **Pending counts in the sidebar:** **Product reviews** and **Company reviews** in the sidebar show how many reviews are pending, and **Reviews** shows a dot while either list has pending reviews

## The Reviews overview

The Reviews overview shows how your reviews are doing and what needs your team. Navigate to [Reviews → Overview](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews) to open it.

- **Rating cards:** One for product reviews and one for company reviews: the average rating, the number of published reviews, and how many have each star rating. Star-only ratings count. Click the **Product reviews** or **Company reviews** heading above a card to open that list.
- **What people say:** An AI summary of your company reviews. It appears once you have 30 published company reviews with text, and until then shows how many are left. It updates when enough new written reviews arrive, or when the average rating changes by 0.5 or more, at most once every 7 days. See [Reviews AI](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/setup/reviews-ai.md).

Each _Things to do_ row about reviews appears once per review type, with its own count, such as _3 company reviews waiting_. A row shows only while its count is above zero, and its button opens the right list, already filtered.

A reported review stays in its row until you reject it, because reports can't be dismissed. See [Reported reviews](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/manage/moderation.md#reported-reviews).

## Review list tabs

Each review list has five tabs, each with its count. A list opens on **Pending**, or on **All** when no review is pending.

| Tab | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **All** | Every review in the list, hidden ones included |
| **Pending** | Reviews waiting for your team: held by a hold rule, or waiting because auto-publish is off |
| **Published** | Reviews shoppers can see |
| **Rejected** | Reviews your team rejected. Their content is kept |
| **Hidden** | Product reviews hidden by the review blocklist or because their product left your catalog, whatever their status |

**Pending**, **Published**, and **Rejected** leave out hidden reviews. Tabs, search, and filters all apply together.

## What a review row shows

Each row in the product reviews list or the company reviews list sums up one review. Click a row to open the review: see [Review details](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/manage/review-details.md).

- The reviewer's name, with _Verified buyer_ when Cevoid matched the review to a purchase
- Where the review came from: _Post-purchase email_ (a review request), _Storefront review_ (your store or a Shopify customer account), or _Imported_
- The language Cevoid detected in the text
- For product reviews, the product under _Reviewing_
- The stars, the sentiment Cevoid detected, and _Reply suggested_ when Reviews AI recommends a reply
- The title, the text, and up to 4 photo and video thumbnails, with _Media flagged_ when media analysis flagged one
- Icons for pinned, incentivized, and insider reviews
- The date the review came into Cevoid
- The status, _Pending_, _Published_, _Rejected_, or _Hidden_, with the reason under a hidden review's status

A pending review shows when it publishes on its own instead of its status: _Auto-publishes in 3 days_, _Auto-publishes now_, or _No auto-publish date_. The badge turns yellow in the last five days. Pending reviews also have **Publish** and **Reject** buttons on the row.

## Search reviews

The search box at the top of each review list, _Search N reviews_, finds reviews by the words in their title or text, or by the reviewer's name.

- Search matches whole words, and the last word you type can be partial
- It searches the text as the reviewer wrote it, not Cevoid's translations
- Star-only ratings have no text, so only the reviewer's name finds them
- Search works within the open tab and filters

## Filter reviews

Filters narrow a review list to the reviews you want to work through. _Rating_ and _Media_ have their own dropdowns in the filter bar, and **Filter** holds the rest.

1. Navigate to [Reviews → Product reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/product-reviews) or [Reviews → Company reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/company-reviews)
2. Click **Filter**
3. Select a filter
4. Select the values to match. The list updates right away.

| _Rating_ | 1 to 5 stars |
| _Media_ | _Has image_, _Has video_, _Has no media_, or _Has media findings_ (photos or videos that media analysis flagged) |
| _Sentiment_ | _Positive_, _Neutral_, _Negative_, _Mixed_, or _No clear sentiment_ |
| _Emotions_ | _Angry_, _Frustrated_, _Disappointed_, _Satisfied_, _Happy_, _Delighted_, _Grateful_, _Indifferent_, or _Conflicted_ |
| _Source_ | _Post-purchase email_, _Storefront review_, or _Imported_ |
| _Verified_ | _Verified buyer_ or _Verified identity_. Every review in the lists has a confirmed identity, so _Verified identity_ matches all of them |
| _Reported_ | _Reported_ or _Not reported_ |
| _Has reply_ | _Has public reply_, _Has private reply_, or _No reply_ |
| _Language_ | The language of the market the review was submitted in. It can differ from the language on the row, which Cevoid detected in the text |
| _Labels_ | Your review labels. See [Review labels](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/manage/review-labels.md) |
| _Profile_ | One or more reviewers |
| _Created at_ | The date the review came into Cevoid |
| _Auto-publishes_ | The date a pending review publishes on its own |
| _Import_ | One of your review imports. See [Import and export reviews](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/collect/import-and-export.md) |
| _Pinned_ | Pinned reviews. Only on a product's **Reviews** tab |

Your filters, sort, and place in the list stay as they were when you leave the list and come back.

## Sort reviews

The sort menu at the top of each review list starts on **Sort: Newest**.

| Sort | Order |
| --- | --- |
| **Newest** | The newest review first, by the date it came into Cevoid |
| **Oldest** | The oldest review first, by the date it came into Cevoid |
| **Highest rating** | 5 stars first |
| **Lowest rating** | 1 star first |

Imported reviews came into Cevoid on the day you imported them, so **Newest** and **Oldest** place them by their import date. The review's sidebar shows when the reviewer wrote it, under _Written at_.

## Act on several reviews at once

Bulk actions apply one action to the reviews you select. They work in the product reviews list, the company reviews list, and a product's **Reviews** tab.

1. Navigate to [Reviews → Product reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/product-reviews) or [Reviews → Company reviews](https://app.cevoid.com/reviews/company-reviews)
2. Select the checkbox on each review you want to act on
3. Optional: Click **Select all** to select every review in the list
4. Click **Actions**, or press `Cmd+K` (`Ctrl+K` on Windows)
5. Select an action. _N of M_ under an action means it applies to only some of the reviews you selected.

| Action | What it applies to |
| --- | --- |
| **Publish** | Selected reviews that aren't published or hidden. It's the only way to publish a rejected review again |
| **Reject** | Selected reviews that aren't rejected or hidden, published ones included. You choose one set of reasons for all of them |
| **Change or add labels...** | Adds a label to every selected review, or removes it |
| **Create label...** | Creates a review label and adds it to every selected review |
| **Pin to product**, **Unpin from product** | Published product reviews. Pinning in bulk doesn't ask before it unpins a product's oldest pin |
| **Mark as incentivized**, **Unmark as incentivized** | Product reviews |
| **Mark as insider**, **Unmark as insider** | Product reviews and company reviews |
| **Move to another product** | Product reviews |
| **Convert to company review**, **Convert to product review** | Reviews that aren't hidden or incentivized |

## Reviews on a product

Each product's page in [Products](https://docs.cevoid.com/orders-products/products.md#a-products-page) has a **Reviews** tab with that product's reviews, across all its variants and markets. It's the tab a product opens on when your plan includes Reviews.

1. Navigate to [Products](https://app.cevoid.com/products) and open the product
2. Click the **Reviews** tab
3. Optional: Click a star bar in the rating card, or a media count in the _Media_ card, to filter the list. Click it again to clear the filter.

Above the list, cards show the product's rating, its _Product questions_ answers (with **Show full breakdown**), the number of images and videos in its reviews, and its AI summary under _What people say_. The list has the same tabs, filters, sort, and bulk actions as the product reviews list, plus a _Pinned_ filter.

## Reviews on a profile

Each reviewer is a profile in [Profiles](https://docs.cevoid.com/profiles.md), and a profile's **Reviews** tab lists that person's company review and product reviews.

1. Navigate to [Profiles](https://app.cevoid.com/profiles) and open the profile
2. Click the **Reviews** tab
3. Click a review to open it. The arrows in the review page through this profile's reviews, in the tab you opened it from.

The tab's count includes pending and rejected reviews. Rows on a profile have no **Publish** or **Reject** buttons and no checkboxes, but their **...** menu works. On the profile's overview, the _Latest reviews_ panel shows the person's three newest reviews, with **See all reviews**.
