Profile data and events from Cevoid can be shared with your CRM and ecommerce platforms. This lets you personalize your storefronts, build segments, trigger email flows, and tailor communication based on information collected through Cevoid.

> [!NOTE]
> Profile data and event sharing requires an email address: the profile must have an email in Cevoid, and a matching email must exist in your CRM or ecommerce platform, unless _Profile sync behavior_ lets Cevoid create the profile in Klaviyo or Voyado. Cevoid collects emails automatically for all [loyalty program](https://docs.cevoid.com/loyalty.md) interactions, when UGC is uploaded through your [upload forms](https://docs.cevoid.com/ugc/collect/upload-forms.md), and for every [review](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews.md).

## Profile data

Profile data is information about a profile that stays in sync. When data changes in Cevoid, it's automatically updated in your connected platforms.

### Default fields

These fields are available for all profiles and are updated automatically by Cevoid.

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Cevoid: Social Instagram Handle** | The profile's Instagram username |
| **Cevoid: Joined Program At** | Date the profile joined your loyalty program |
| **Cevoid: Points** | Current points balance |
| **Cevoid: Program Member** | Whether the profile is a program member (true/false) |
| **Cevoid: Tier Icon** | URL to the profile's current tier icon |
| **Cevoid: Tier Id** | Unique identifier for the profile's current tier |
| **Cevoid: Tier Name** | Name of the profile's current tier |
| **Birthdate** | The profile's birthdate |

### Custom properties

Any custom profile properties you create in Cevoid can also be shared with your connected platforms. Custom properties appear in the data sharing settings with a _Custom property_ label. Answers to the profile questions on your review forms are saved to these properties and shared like any other value.

Learn more about creating custom properties in [Profile properties](https://docs.cevoid.com/profiles/profile-properties.md).

## Events

Events are triggers sent to your CRM when something happens in Cevoid. Use them to build email flows and automations. Each event includes relevant data that can be used in your emails.

### Program events

Program events are triggered by loyalty program activity, such as when a member joins your program, earns a tier, or receives a reward. These events are covered in detail in [Program emails and triggers](https://docs.cevoid.com/loyalty/setup/program-emails-and-triggers.md), including all available events, payload examples, and how to build flows with them in Klaviyo.

### UGC events

UGC events are triggered by content-related actions.

| Event | Trigger |
| --- | --- |
| **Cevoid: Instagram Mentioned** | When a profile mentions your Instagram account in a post |
| **Cevoid: Instagram Tagged** | When a profile tags your Instagram account in a post |
| **Cevoid: Post Created** | When a profile creates a post |

Cevoid sends **Cevoid: Instagram Mentioned** and **Cevoid: Instagram Tagged** only when a profile in your workspace has the post's Instagram handle. Each event is sent only when it's enabled in your Klaviyo or Voyado settings. The Instagram payloads also include `children`, the items of a carousel post, which the samples below leave out.

### Review events

Review events are sent by a flow, not switched on in an integration's settings. A flow that starts on a review trigger sends the event to Klaviyo or Voyado, with the review and the reviewer's profile. Imported reviews don't send them.

| Event | Trigger |
| --- | --- |
| **Cevoid: Product Review Submitted** | When a customer submits a product review |
| **Cevoid: Company Review Submitted** | When a customer submits a company review |
| **Cevoid: Product Review Replied** | When your team replies to a product review |
| **Cevoid: Company Review Replied** | When your team replies to a company review |

These are the default event names in Klaviyo, and you can change them in the flow. In Voyado, the events arrive as contact interactions.

A flow can also send review requests to Klaviyo or Voyado as events, so your CRM sends the request email. A review request event carries the links to the review form, including a link for each star rating. In Klaviyo, it's named after the flow's trigger by default, such as **Cevoid: Order Delivered**. See [Review requests](https://docs.cevoid.com/reviews/collect/review-requests.md).

To set up a review event, see [Send review events](https://docs.cevoid.com/profiles/profile-data-event-sharing#send-review-events).

## Where data and events can be shared

### CRM platforms

Share profile data and events to build segments, personalize emails, and trigger automated flows.

| Platform | Profile data | Events | Documentation |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Klaviyo** | Custom properties | Metrics for flows | [Klaviyo](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/email-crm/klaviyo.md) |
| **Voyado** | Contact fields | Contact interactions | [Voyado](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/email-crm/voyado.md) |
| **General implementation (API)** | Via API | Via [webhooks](https://docs.cevoid.com/flows/webhooks.md) | [API reference](https://docs.cevoid.com/developers/api.md) |

### Ecommerce platforms

Share profile data to personalize storefronts and build customer segments. Events are not available for ecommerce platforms.

| Platform | Profile data | Documentation |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Shopify** | Customer metafields and tags | [Shopify](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/ecommerce/shopify.md) |
| **General implementation (API)** | Via API | [API reference](https://docs.cevoid.com/developers/api.md) |

## How sharing works

### Automatic sync

Once you enable a field or event for sharing, Cevoid handles everything automatically. Profile data syncs whenever it changes. Events are sent in real time when they occur.

### Historical sync

If you enable data sharing after you already have profiles in Cevoid, sync your existing profiles with **Sync profiles** on the Klaviyo or Shopify integration page. This updates the existing profiles with the selected fields. See [Sync existing profiles to Klaviyo](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/email-crm/klaviyo.md#sync-existing-profiles-to-klaviyo) and [Sync existing profiles to Shopify](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/ecommerce/shopify.md#sync-existing-profiles-to-shopify).

### Test sync

Before going live, you can test the Klaviyo and Voyado integrations.

For profile data, click **Test Profile** in the dialog that **Edit fields** opens, then **Create test profile**. This creates a test profile in your connected platform with sample data for every profile field, enabled or not.

For events, click the play icon next to an event in the dialog that **Edit events** opens, and send the test event. This triggers the event on a test profile so you can preview the payload in your CRM.

## Multiple CRM accounts or stores

The rules in this section apply if you have multiple CRM accounts connected (for example, separate Klaviyo accounts for different regions), multiple ecommerce stores connected (for example, separate Shopify stores for different markets), or both.

If you have only one CRM account and one ecommerce store connected, profiles are synced regardless of which market they belong to. All profiles with an email that exists in your CRM or ecommerce platform are automatically synced.

### What market a profile is connected to

The first time a profile opts in or takes an action in one of your program widgets, or places an order that is tracked through Cevoid, Cevoid checks what market this happened on and associates their profile with that market. Their profile data and events are then shared with the CRM account and ecommerce store related to that market.

You can also manually change a profile's market from their profile page. If no market has been detected, profiles are synced to connections related to your [default market](https://docs.cevoid.com/localization/products-markets.md#default-market).

### How sharing works with multiple connections

To avoid duplicate communication, Cevoid only syncs each profile to the CRM account or store associated with their market.

For profiles whose email doesn't already exist in your CRM, _Profile sync behavior_ in the Klaviyo or Voyado settings decides whether Cevoid creates them. By default, it's **Don't create profile**, to avoid affecting your platform usage without your knowledge.

## Configure data and event sharing

Profile data and event sharing is configured on each integration's page in [Settings → Integrations](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations). Review events are the exception: a flow sends them, as described in [Send review events](https://docs.cevoid.com/profiles/profile-data-event-sharing#send-review-events).

On the Klaviyo and Voyado pages, **Edit events** under _Events_ and **Edit fields** under _Profile Data_ open a dialog where you enable what to sync and click **Save**. Shopify has no events: its _Profile data_ has **Edit fields** for metafields and **Edit tags** for tags. The steps are in each integration's article:

- [Klaviyo](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/email-crm/klaviyo.md#configure-event-sharing)
- [Voyado](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/email-crm/voyado.md#configure-event-sharing)
- [Shopify](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/ecommerce/shopify.md#configure-profile-data-sharing)

### Send review events

Send a [review event](https://docs.cevoid.com/profiles/profile-data-event-sharing#review-events) to Klaviyo or Voyado with a **Forward event** flow on a review trigger, such as _Product review submitted_, once the integration is connected. For the steps, see [Create a flow](https://docs.cevoid.com/flows.md#create-a-flow), then [publish the flow](https://docs.cevoid.com/flows.md#publish-a-flow). A **Forward event** flow can send the other flow triggers the same way, such as _Tier earned_ or _Order delivered_.
