# Instagram

> Connect your Instagram accounts to collect UGC, sync your feed, and schedule posts.

The Instagram integration connects your Instagram business accounts to Cevoid. Once connected, you can sync posts from your Instagram feed, collect UGC from mentions and tags, and schedule posts for automatic publishing.

Navigate to [Settings → Integrations → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations/instagram) to manage your Instagram integration.

## Prerequisites

Before connecting, make sure your Instagram account meets these requirements:

## Connect an Instagram account

1. **Start the connection**

   1. Navigate to [Settings → Integrations → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations/instagram)
   2. Click **Connect Instagram**. _Connect Instagram_ opens.
   3. Click **Connect Instagram using Facebook**. A Facebook pop-up opens.

2. **Follow the steps in the pop-up**

   Log in to Facebook if asked, select the Facebook Pages, businesses, and Instagram accounts Cevoid may access, and approve. When the pop-up offers all current and future ones, choose that, so accounts you add later are included.

3. **Select accounts in Cevoid**

   1. Select the accounts you want to connect to your workspace under _Select account_
   2. Click **Connect account**, or **Connect accounts** when you selected several

## What syncs

Cevoid checks for new feed posts, tagged posts, and hashtagged posts about once an hour. Mentions arrive as soon as Instagram notifies Cevoid.

## Connect additional accounts

You can connect multiple Instagram accounts to the same workspace. This lets brands with multiple accounts capture and reuse Instagram content in one place.

To add more accounts, click **Connect account** in _Accounts_ on [Settings → Integrations → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations/instagram). _Connect Instagram_ opens: click **Connect Instagram using Facebook** and follow the rest of [Connect an Instagram account](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/social/instagram#connect-an-instagram-account). The Facebook pop-up lets you authorize additional pages and accounts that weren't previously connected.

- With two or more accounts connected, [UGC → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/instagram) has an account selector to show posts for one account or all
- Posts by one connected account that tag or mention another of your connected accounts aren't collected as UGC

## Disconnect Instagram

1. Navigate to [Settings → Integrations → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations/instagram)
2. Open the Instagram account
3. Click **Disconnect**
4. Click **Disconnect** in _Disconnect from Instagram?_ to confirm

Cevoid stops syncing posts from the account, and no data is removed from Cevoid. To use the account again, connect it again.

## Troubleshooting

When a connection breaks, the account shows _Action required_ on its page under [Settings → Integrations → Instagram](https://app.cevoid.com/settings/integrations/instagram), and every active team member in your workspace gets an email. Cevoid emails once per problem, and again every 7 days while the account stays broken.

### Connection lost or sync failed

The account page lists _Connection lost_, _Could not sync Instagram feed_, or _Could not sync tagged posts_. Click **Reconnect**, then **Reconnect Instagram using Facebook**, and grant the permissions again. Your data in Cevoid is kept. UGC → Instagram shows the same problem as _Instagram connection lost_.

### Action required by Meta

Meta has a security checkpoint on your account. Log in to [facebook.com](https://www.facebook.com/) and follow Meta's instructions. Then [disconnect](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/social/instagram#disconnect-instagram) the account in Cevoid and connect it again.

### No facebook pages found or No Instagram business accounts found

Cevoid couldn't find a Facebook page, or an Instagram business account connected to your Facebook page. Check the [prerequisites](https://docs.cevoid.com/integrations/social/instagram#prerequisites), then connect again.

### Permissions missing

You didn't grant every permission Cevoid needs in the Facebook pop-up, so the connection dialog shows _Permissions missing_ with the permissions left out. Click **Try again** and grant them all.

## Instagram permissions

Cevoid asks Meta for these permissions:

| `pages_manage_engagement` | The first time you add a first comment to a Facebook post in social scheduling |
